The awards ceremony, held on May 19, 2023, presented four special accolades to honor the most dedicated and philanthropic individuals and organizations in our area. Among the 2023 Award Honorees, Disney & Associates, Inc. stood out for our unwavering dedication to making a difference.
The Kitsap Celebration of Philanthropy: Business Making a Difference Award
The Business Making a Difference Award specifically recognizes for-profit businesses in Kitsap County that have a proven track record of positively impacting the community. Various factors were considered during the selection process, including donations given to local nonprofits or individuals in need, sponsorship, and involvement in local nonprofit events, employee donation matching programs, paid time-off for volunteer activities, encouragement of employee volunteerism, promotion of leadership in the nonprofit community, and an overall spirit of philanthropy and dedication to the community.
Firm, fair, and respectful — these are the principles that guide Bob Disney, the owner and founder of Disney & Associates. With these values at the core of our operations, we extend our commitment to the community beyond the realm of construction. Bob’s passion for engaging young people in the trades has led to the creation of Construction in Motion and Trades in Motion programs. These initiatives play a pivotal role in opening doors to rewarding careers in construction for aspiring youth.
Our support doesn’t stop there. We also proudly contribute to the Kitsap Building Association’s Builder Grant Program, further empowering individuals to pursue opportunities in the construction industry.
